Choco Mama is Reonne Haslett. She and her husband, L. “Hawk” Cargo, (aka: The Fudgemeister) began Earth’s Sweet Pleasures for two reasons: 1) Hawk has been making delicious, creamy chocolate fudge for 40 years and wanted to experiment with a more earth-friendly and socially responsible recipe; 2) they wanted to be among the growing numbers of concerned citizens who want to help transform chocolate trading practices through donating generous proceeds from the profits of their business. It took Hawk 18 months to create the organic recipe and it took them another year to get the business up and running. As Reonne continues to educate herself about blogging, more photos and articles will follow.
